KC Dance Company is based in the beautiful Shoalhaven on the South Coast of NSW.
KC Dance Co originally established its reputation in Sydney’s Moorebank area and has been educating students in dance since 1998, when it was founded by director Cherie Rimmer-Kowe.
Our goal is to inspire, motivate and enrich every student in the art of dance- providing a range of classes varying from recreational to professional levels in a safe, fun and encouraging atmosphere.
Cherie has always strived to produce students of the highest calibre and provide them with a strong foundation in all genres of dance. We believe that introducing and enriching your child in dance is a wonderful gift that will last a lifetime! Providing poise, promoting good posture, body alignment, musical awareness as well as the development of rhythm and coordination.
Following the Australasian Dance Association (ADA) syllabus in ballet, tap and jazz, formally known as FATD, KC has prided itself with students achieving outstanding results in exams throughout its’ history. We also have award winning performance troupes who compete and perform regularly throughout the year at eisteddfods and Community based events.
KC Dance Company has also given students opportunities to perform in New Zealand, ABC TV, Active Kids music videos, QLD dance tours at Sea World, Dreamworld, Cavill Ave, P&O Cruise Ships as well as being regular participants in NRL Cheerleading grand finals events and club shows.
Our professional and fully qualified teaching staff have over 30 years teaching experience and encourage students to not only achieve in dance but also think creatively. Our teachers allow our dancers to increase strength, flexibility, cognitive abilities, as well as the exploration of movement, music and creation expression in a well-supervised and nurturing environment.; our staff will drive our dancers to strengthen their mental, physical and artistic capabilities.
Our philosophy is to continually push students to achieve to the best of their abilities, strive to make sure your dancer is being taught the correct technique and fundamentals of dance and give them the opportunities to succeed in life! Our dancers all share one common factor- they love to dance at KC!
