SAVANNAH LLOYD
Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Stretch & Technique
Savannah commenced her formal dance training at 10 and has since gone on to realize her passion for every aspect dance offers in choreography, performing, teaching and theory. Training in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern & tap, Savannah undertook R.A.D examinations as well as experiencing various eisteddfods as a soloist. She was a member of the Illawarra & South East Regional Performing Company (ISER) & gained performance experience in State Dance Festival, featured dancer in Southern Stars, Schools Spectacular and lead role in Rock Eisteddfod.

In 2011 Savannah completed her HSC dance and achieved an unprecedented mark of 100%, topping the state of NSW against 1300 other students, as well as being nominated for HSC dance callback showcase for exemplary performance. Savannah is a qualified high school teacher, obtaining a double degree in a Bachelor of Secondary Education & Bachelor of Dance, History & Theatre Performance Studies at the University of New South Wales (2016) where she has gained knowledge in safe dance practice, classroom management, varying learning styles and injury prevention/anatomy. Savannah has learnt under teachers such as Sue Healey, John Mullins, Gilli O’Connell, Lisa Griffiths, Rach Kirsten and Erin Brannigan during her time at University as well as workshops with Sydney Dance Company, Brian Friedman, Tessendra Chavez, Steps NYC, The Edge LA and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre.

Savannah has choreographed Wakakirri for the past four years where they were awarded the ‘Choreography Award NSW’ and ‘Outstanding Dance Presentation’ as well as numerous troupes and soloists who have achieved remarkable successes at various eisteddfods. Savannah has worked on set of Channel 10 television series ‘Wonderland’, as well as dancing in Australasian airlines commercials, being selected to join the talent agency MCTV in Sydney. She has been given the experience to choreograph for the Illawarra and South East Regional Dance Festival, Southern Stars Performing Company, as well as the Illawarra South East Region Performing Ensemble. Savannah has tutored numerous HSC dance students, with a 100% success rate of major performance choreography being selected for HSC dance callback NSW. She has had six years R.A.D teaching experience, as well as being an all-rounder in teaching numerous dance styles, however specialises in her passion of modern/contemporary.

Savannah’s wacky sense of humour, lively approach to teaching and kind nature, infused with her extensive knowledge makes her a valuable and much-adored member of the KC family. Savannah has been a part of KC DANCE Company since 2016 and loves sharing her passion for dance in a caring, nurturing, positive environment, thriving off driven and hard-working students.
