Your guide to how it all works at KC Dance Co.

WELCOME to KC DANCE COMPANY. The place for exceptional dance training, fully qualified and experienced staff and a beacon of fun, magic and life-long memories. We are not just a dance studio, we are a family and a second home to all who walk through our doors. With dance comes fulfilment like no other, it is an endless journey. It is growth, both as an individual and a family. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, safe environment, where each student is encouraged and developed to reach their full potential. A journey of creativity, confidence, self-expression and friendships. We provide correct training, fully guided by our innovative and educated staff. A dash of discipline, a pinch of magic and a bucket-full of fun, we ensure your KC experience is as enjoyable and stress-free for our students as it is for our parents and families.

Classes –

With almost 50 classes scheduled on our timetable, there is something for everyone. KC is proud to boast a world-class teaching facility and a huge variety of styles of dance. 2019 brings a new structure of teachers and skills brought to our studio.

For pre-school aged children (ages 2 -4) we offer READY SET DANCE and READY SET BALLET. Students who are aged between 5 and 21 can do recreational  classes in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, lyrical / contemporary, as well as acrobatics and cheerleading. There are no set levels for recreational classes – they are open to everyone regardless of whether or not the student is experienced or starting out as a beginner, and separated by age group. Through dance, we develop skills, build confidence and most importantly…. have fun. Recreational classes perform just once a year at our end of year showcase concert.

Students who are serious about dance can audition for our performance troupe. These students perform multiple times a year at competitions and local events. Please contact Miss Cherie if this is of interest to you.

Studio –

Our studio is located in South Nowra. Please see location.

We have 3 professional dance rooms, a waiting area for parents/carers, as well as a hang out room for students to wait for classes if they are early or have a break.

Our hangout room also includes a number of lockers for students to store shoes and clothes during the week. Lockers are rented for $50/year. Please see the front desk to reserve your locker.

We also have a kitchen and canteen for students to purchase light snacks and prepare food.

Uniforms –

Students are not required to wear our KC uniform to their classes but many choose to.

Our uniform consists of a black leotard, KC Jazz shorts and purple skirts for ballet.

Uniforms as well as  stockings can be purchased from the front desk at our studio. The correct shoes must be worn to class. Shoes can be purchased from the studio as new or second-hand. Please see the front desk.

Students in the troupe performance group are required to have a KC Dance Jacket [shown], as we compete as a group at various contests and showcases.

End of year showcase concert –

Each year we perform the skills we have developed in a showcase of dance that combine all the classes at KC Dance Co.

Our concert is in early December at Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. Students love to show what they have learnt and learn new dances as well as owning and performing in a variety of costumes!

Our students from beginner to adult perform in the main concert, whilst our Ready Set Dance/Ready Set Ballet students perform in their own concert.

Information about the concert can be found on our Facebook page. Anyone is welcome to purchase tickets (from the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre), come and see our talented students show their dance skills!

Parents and carers are notified of details for preparing for the concert by email.
